What is CRESCENT?
The Cascadia Region Earthquake Science Center (CRESCENT) is the nation’s first subduction zone earthquake hazards center. Funded by the National Science Foundation, the center brings together scientists, researchers, and universities to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time: understanding and mitigating earthquake hazards of the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ).
Giving to support future geoscientists
Earthquake hazards pose a significant risk to communities, and addressing these challenges requires a highly skilled workforce. By supporting the education and training of the next generation of geoscientists, we can ensure that solutions to these critical issues are shaped from a wide range of perspectives, making them more effective and impactful. With your help, we can prepare students to become the leaders who will drive progress in Earth science.
Your gift can contribute to training the next generation of geoscientists, providing them with the tools they need to succeed, and making a lasting impact on communities affected by natural hazards. Donations will directly fund CRESCENT’s geoscience education programs:
- Scholarships and support for students pursuing careers in Earth science.
- Hands-on training for future scientists working on real-world geohazard issues.
- Educational programs that build capacity and bridge gaps in knowledge.
Give today and help us train the next-generation workforce in Earth science!
