Quileute CASE
QTS-UW Logo Design Competition
December 2024
Blog post written by René Castillo & Madeleine Lucas
We’re excited to share the artwork and winners from our logo design competition that celebrated the community fostered between the University of Washington (UW) and the Quileute Tribal School (QTS) during the CCASE 2024-25 program! The challenge: design a logo that combines the UW and Quileute/QTS symbology. In total, 22 logo designs were submitted by QTS K-12 students. The three winning designs were voted on by 52 people from over 30 different organizations! The designs were then digitized by Richard Parra, Assistant Director of Rural and Tribal Partnerships at UW Riverways, printed, and distributed to QTS students, teachers, and their families. Even more, each of the winning artists each received a cash award! We are so impressed by the quality and attention to detail of all the designs submitted to the competition! Thank you to everyone who participated by submitting a logo design and by voting.
