Quileute Tribal School visits UW Campus!
February 21-22, 2025

In February, the Quileute CASE and UW Riverways program co-hosted high schoolers and teachers from the Quileute Tribal School on UW’s campus. After traveling all the way from La Push to Seattle, the high schoolers were led on a tour around campus, which included visits to the Burke Museum, the PNSN Seismolab, and the UW Planetarium. We ended the day with dinner in Mary Gates Hall catered by the Off the Rez Cafe! The next day, the Riverways Guides led a college access workshop for the students that guided them how to navigate the process of applying to college. Finally, our last stop was at the UW Oceanography Puget Table where the students learned about how water flows through the sound. With that, we concluded the visit and sent QTS on their way back to La Push. Liatskal (thank you) to the QTS, teachers, and staff for visiting us at UW and for everyone who made this visit possible!
