Meeting Goals The purpose of the CRESCENT Kickoff Meeting was to review the center’s plans as a community and to make recommendations for adjustments as necessary, based on participant input and recent advances in the field. The panoply of breakouts set forth in the agenda were organized mostly around the Science Working Groups, with the aim of discussing the specific Science, Geoscience Education and Inclusion, and Partnerships & Applications contributions for each Working Group.
